Taking water to the next level

Watermed is a South African company that originally produced ultra-pure water for medical purposes and is now applying the same technology to grow better food using less water. They are supported by the South African Department of Science and Innovation and are a finalist in the United Nations Global Cleantech Innovation Program. Watermed is also part of the “Aquaterra” consortium which helps local authorities clean contaminated water for community-owned hydroponic farms. SUPA O2 is their product that uses a unique water purification system to produce super-oxygenated water for growing stronger plants, and it’s now available after years of research and development.
